Transgender
As I been
taking this class, I have learned a lot about how white people have more benefits
than any other race. I have also learned
how people of color have had their lives ruin by white people that think they deserve
everything. I also learned how the Latinos
paint with all their hearts. How they do
everything with love. But the saddest
thing of all is how Whites, Mexican, Chinese, Asian, or any kind of race treats
the transgender. They do not realize that they are also like one of us. Because it does not matter where you are in
the world you will always see someone mistreat a transgender.
As I was
growing up my mother taught us about the bible how God wanted for man and woman
become one. We were in this world that
only knew this part of the world and not the other part were men with men and
woman with woman. When I started high
school I started seeing this, I went home and asked my mother about this action
that I saw. She was amazed, she herself
did not believed it. She told us that
these people would not go to heaven. But
deep in my heart I did not believed it. One
of my friends was a lesbian and another a queer they both were really cool. To me they were my best friends because I was
able to be who I am. I always made sure
that I was with them because other students would try to do or say things to
them to make them feel bad. I was like
the counselor of the high school everyone would come and ask me
everything. Everyone would know my
reaction when it came to them. I would always
defend them because I am very religious I believe that God made us all equal, so
he said do to other what you want them to do to you. I made sure everyone would
know that saying.
After
reading and seeing the story about Gwen. It made me very sad how the community
has become against these special people.
I see them as special because they go through a lot in their lives. First, they do not understand what is going
on with them. Then they are scared to
tell anyone. When they are ready to come
out someone in their family makes them feel like they are sick in their
minds. Like when Gwen dresses up like a
girl and everyone sees her like this is not normal and takes him to play
ball. Sometime they do not know what is
wrong with them. They suffer as they are
growing up and once they are grown they suffer a lot more. I tried to see another movie “Boys Don’t Cry”
In this movie there is a girl than feel that she is a boy. I was not able to see it but I say the clip because
it said it was to graphic. On “Soldier’s Girl” it was a soldier that felt in
love with a transgender, his partner knew about it and convince a new soldier
to kill him. I guess it do not matter
who is a transgender or who is not. Either
way they both suffer. In every story you
see how hard they try to be normal or to be what they feel inside. You see the suffering the pain they go through
and people just don’t care they should just mind their own business and let
other enjoy they lives.
Overall, I
have notice that no matter how hard these transgenders try to belong in this
world there is someone out there that will make them feel not part of this
world. I have always told by boys that
no matter who they meet they will always respect everyone that come through
their lives. We are all human and we all
make mistakes in our lives. So, who are
we to judge these people when we ourselves are not perfect. We know some of these wonderful people they
are better than the normal people. They
have been there for me and my family we can always count on them. I thank God for them and hope that one day
people will respect them for what they are.
